5 Things to Do for the Solar Eclipse May 20, 2012

“The sun, moon, and stars are your teachers.” – Yogi Bhajan

We are fast approaching an important astrological event on Sunday May 20, 2012. A south node solar eclipse which aligns the Earth, Sun and Moon with the Pleiadian Star System which contains the Central Sun Alcyone. The Mayans have said that it takes 26,000 years for our solar system to rotate around this central sun and that they are the direct descendents of the Plaedian Star People.
This is the first of four major eclipses scheduled for 2012. Eclipses open energetic doorways to bring dramatic shifts in mass consciousness. The record number of eclipses was five in 1935 and these powerful energies were the harbingers of WWII.

As Above, So Below

The ancients long ago observed that we are impacted by the movement of the planets and stars. The earth, moon and sun is our cosmic trinity. The Sun represents the Soul – self-illuminated and radiant. The Moon represents the Mind – only able to reflect the light of the Soul and the Earth represents our finite existence.

The Sabian symbol for May 20, 2012 is “A glass-bottomed boat reveals undersea wonders”.

This solar eclipse will bring tremendous light into the dark watery depths of the Unconscious Mind which usually remains locked and inaccessible. The Unconscious is the deepest part of our mind and is a container for buried thoughts, emotions, sensations and images from our collective human experiences. Even though the Unconscious remains hidden it can be controlling your life – when triggered it can bring forward strong irrational emotional responses.

The energy from the Solar Eclipse will force you to face and release the long buried greebly emotions – guilt, anger, hatred, jealousy, greed, lust, grief, sadness and terror. This energy will also bring into light the beliefs and soul patterns that you may have inherited ancestrally – the ones you have never dared to question. It is time to see in truth how they have stopped you from the realization of your True Spiritual Nature. Eclipses also bring a finality, a completion to a karmic pattern that has been running your life or perhaps lifetimes. Facing the Unconscious Mind with the courage of a spiritual warrior will bring you to a greater clarity of your hidden greatness and destiny in this incarnation. This is a time of major awakening. Receive these powerful transmissions of energy and be prepared to open to a whole new world within you – the kingdom of heaven.

5 Things You Can You Do?

1. Be Near Water - It is said that we will be most affected by this energy three days before and three days after the eclipse on Sunday. Yogi Bhajan instructed to be near water during an eclipse – a lake, an ocean or even your bathtub.

2. Resist the powerful urge to react. Be still and go deep inside yourself to fully feel any emotions that may surface. Treat emotions like tourists – welcome them but them move on.

3. Meditate with Mantra

“ … that is why we do not meditate without mantra…when you meditate
without mantra you can clean the subconscious. But when you
meditate with mantra you can clean the unconscious. You can destroy the akashic record. “ – Yogi Bhajan

4. Receive -  Solar eclipses are always new moons, this one however is a new moon on steroids – especially with the energy the Central Sun Alcyone fueling it from afar. New moons are always about new beginnings so be aware of inspirations coming from the Soul to be manifested later in 2012.

Your Life is a Movie – How to Change the Reel?

Life is a movie. Grab your popcorn and enjoy the show. -Yogi Bhajan

Everything in the world is a reflection of our consciousness and movies are one of the most popular past times for humanity especially in the western world. It is fun to look at movies from a spiritual perspective to learn about what is going on at the collective unconscious level. When we reincarnate we come into the ultimate 3D- surround-sound-movie-theater called the Earth Plane.  The ancients called it Maya – that which is not. Everything we see is energy vibrating at different frequencies that our  brain reinterprets as real and we all have agreed  -  this is reality. The problem is not the movie – the problem is our relationship to the movie. We let the ego relate to the movie of our life and not the Soul.

Here’s how the Ego Relates to Your Movie:

Won’t Stay Seated – constantly getting up to scream at the movie screen in an attempt to try to change how the story is going.

Resistance – incessant commentating on what’s wrong with the movie – bored and disappointed with the story line.

Fighting – yelling at the images on the screen blaming them for how we are feeling or what they did to us in a prior scene 20 years ago.

Tuning Out – we fall asleep or intoxicate ourselves so we miss the beauty and depth of the all the scenes.

Blaming -  blaming and punishing ourselves for what is happening to the characters on the screen.

Jumping Ahead -  Focusing our attention on what we think is going to happen next usually something negative.

How to Change the Movie?

When you relate to the Movie from your Soul you realize that  the movie is just rolling along and you stay seated in your seat at all times. We all know how to change the movie – you go to the back and change the film reel.  You change the film reel by accepting that everything that you see on the screen is just a reflection of your own MIND. Those characters are all aspects of you – if you don’t like a character it is just an aspect of yourself you have not accepted. Everything that happens in your movie is to show you yourself.  That is the great cosmic joke – you are the only one in the movie theater ! This is your movie so my may as well enjoy it !

The difference between the False Self (ego) and True Self (soul)

As we move through this profound time of transformation it is crucial that we ALL release what is Not True in our lives.  All around the world – old archaic Piscean institutions (governments, corporations, western medicine and more) are crumbling before our very eyes. Anything on this planet that has been created from Ego (separation) and not the Soul (unity) is dismantling and so too our inner world is falling apart. With Mars in retrograde since January 23, 2012, this has been an opportune time to reflect and dig into some juicy inner self work. We have this grace period to let go of old subconscious programming from the past until April 14th,  2012. Until then you are supported by the planetary energies to really let go of what is not True for you and to start living from your Authentic Self.

You may be confused to what is really my true self  and what is my false self?  There seems to be many voices clamoring for my attention.  You may not always know what is my intuition and what is my mind and ego?

The false ego is like a parasite and you are the host. The parasite needs the host to survive but the host does not need the parasite. The best way to manage the ego is not to feed it with your attention and energy – it’s voice will begin to disappear.

Here is a chart with the difference between your False Self vs Your True Self so you can begin to differentiate the two.

Are you Feeling like a ‘scardey cat’ ? 5 Ways to Transmute Fear.

The intensity of life seems to have amped up a few notches this month.

As a humanity, we are experiencing major challenges and old ways of coping are no longer working. These challenges can be experienced as insomnia, anxiety, despair, accidents, not enough time, addictions, health crisis, relationship upsets or financial difficulties.

CHANGE IS NOW RAPID AND MOVING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT.

With all these changes, we may feel stress.   Underneath the stress is fear.  This fear is the fear of the Unknown. What’s coming next? Can I handle another change in my life?

Once you understand that fear is simply an energy -  a force – then can you transmute this energy for your soul’s journey.

5 Ways to Transmute Fear

1. Embrace the Mystery

The ancient yogis say that only 20% is known to our conscious mind and 80% is unknown to us. This 80% is what causes a lot of our fear. Embrace that 80% unknown in every situation – trust the Divine is guiding you each and every moment. Imagine yourself as a great adventurer on planet earth – a spiritual being here to have grand adventure.

2. Pranayam

One of the ten yogic bodies is called the Pranic Body. A strong Pranic Body keeps fear at bay. Consciously breathing will strengthen your Pranic Body. Slow down your breath. Inhale ten seconds. Suspend the breath for ten seconds and exhale ten seconds.

3. Take a respite from the news and negative people

Including newspapers, television and Internet. Read inspiring and uplifting books. Keep company with people who have a positive outlook on life.

4. Express Yourself

There is a misconception that we are the only ones feeling fear  and everyone else has it all together.  We all feel the same range of emotions. Be authentic with trusted people in your life – share some your worries and fears – you will be surprised how similar we all are.

5. Kundalini Yoga Meditation

When you feel overwhelmed by life – practice this meditation anywhere or anytime. You can do this in as little as three minutes.  MEDITATION TO RELIEVE FEAR. (3 MINS)

Solar Flares Activity in 2012

Yogi Bhajan had a clear understanding of what would happen as we entered the Aquarian Age and he warned us that solar storm activity would increase significantly and affect the magnetic field of the Earth.

In the past few years, even mainstream media has been reporting massive solar flares unlike any we have ever seen. These solar flares are directly connected to the Earth Changes we are experiencing and play a big role in our quickening -  our accelerated evolution as a humanity.

The ancients teach that we are connected to the totality of the Universe and so the flares on the surface of the Sun too affect us.

You may be feeling:

- emotional outbursts – fear, sadness, grief  anger, or  anxiety – sometimes for no reason

- temperature fluctuations – sweating then chills

- disrupted sleep, disturbing dreams

- extreme fatigue and/or manic amount of energy

- big aha moments of awareness

- weird body phenomena – aches and pains, buzzing in the ears , seeing geometric shapes out of the corner of your eyes

Most importantly, the solar flares affect the emotions. With these surges of energy and information coming from the sun, it is increasingly difficult for people to control the emotions by ‘talking ourselves out of it’ and putting on the  ‘I’m just FINE face” to the world.   Managing the emotions is now something we must be aware of every day – especially anger.  Our old tricks to avoid or suppress our anger will no longer work like – too much sugar, drugs, alcohol –or keeping mentally  distracted and gorging on information on facebook, twitter, internet etc.  Now we must feel the anger and consciously use if for fuel for transformation.

Be with Your Soul Mate Everyday

“Your very own soul is your soul mate” - Yogi Bhajan (master of Kundalini Yoga)

In the Aquarian Age, we are being called to live by our Soul not our ego or mind.  The Soul Body  is your very own best friend, your highest self, your inner light – your soul mate. The soul is the source of life and is already inside you waiting to be discovered in this lifetime. The Soul is your ‘essence’ – your true identity.

5 ways to Nurture your Soul Body:

1. Listen to the Impulses of Your Soul

The soul longs only to be with the Infinite, G.O.D. the totality of the Universe. The soul body is communicating this longing to you all the time, however, the MIND interprets these impulses and gives you alternatives such as compulsive spending, eating, drugs, alcohol, sex etc. When you feel these impulses choose to do positive activities such as gardening, listening or playing music, writing, meditation, being with your pet – anything that nurtures and satisfies this longing.

2. Live From Your Heart

A simple exercise is to bring your awareness to your heart when you are about to speak to someone. Feel them first and then communicate. You will see your exchanges become more meaningful for you and the other person. With each exchange, you will feel your soul body blossom inside you. It is only when you have a loving relationship with yourself that you can truly love others.

3. Make a Long Standing Date with Your Soul

Every morning preferably before sunrise – sit in silence with yourself – breathe long and deep. This time of the morning is when the angle of the sun to the earth is very good for meditation. Channels to the Divine are at their clearest and there is an abundance of prana (life force of the Universe). Deeply listen to your inner guidance for the day. Make this relationship with your soul a priority.

“The difference between a friend and your soul is that a friend may or may not deny you; but the soul shall never deny you when you ask it for help. “  – Yogi Bhajan

4. Raise Your Kundalini Energy

Raising your Kundalini is the fastest way to awaken your Soul. Cultivate a regular practice Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

Return Home to the Heart for the Aquarian Age – 5 Things to know about the Heart

In the castle of Brahman, our own body, there is a small shrine in the form of a lotus flower, and within can be found a small space. We should find who dwells in this little space within the heart, and we should want to know him. – Chandogya Upanishad

Our sun travels through the galaxy in an orbit that is 26,000 years long.  On Dec 21, 2012, we will reach the end of one of these great cycles. For thousands of years the laws of matter have dominated Spirit and now in this new age, Spiritual laws will rule matter. Many of the ancient traditions tell us that we must live from our hearts to make this mass shift of consciousness – our very survival depends on it.

So what does that mean? And more importantly, how do we do it?

Firstly, it is important to understand the nature of the heart.  Modern science is finally catching up to what sages and mystics have been telling us all along about the importance of the heart to our Spiritual Evolution.

Here are 5 Things to Know About the Heart:

1. Your Heart Beats in Sync with Mother Earth

The Earth has a heartbeat (resonant frequency) called the Schumann Resonance which has been 7.8 cycles for thousands of years, but has been rising since 1980. (It is at about 12 cycles at present and increasing each year).  Planet Earth is our mother and our heart beat must synch with hers.  When we are not in sync, we feel fearful, insecure and anxious that there is not enough time in the day.  To counteract these effects, make time to be with your Mother: go out in nature, breathe fresh air, look at the sky. As you intentionally send the frequency of Love from your heart to the center of the Earth, you will feel her Love return back to you.

2. The Heart has its Own Brain

Science has discovered that 60-65 percent of the heart is made up of neurons that connect directly to the limbic system.  What we think of as ‘the brain’ is not just in the head – but also in the heart.  These neurons have a direct connection with the right hemisphere of the brain and is responsible for dreaming, intuition, and creativity. The ancients tell us that we used to create our world with our hearts. When you visualize or pray, bring your awareness to your heart

“ Whenever you pray with the head, it takes a long time before you see the desired goal. Whenever you sing or pray from the heart, it will be timeless, spaceless and absolutely effective. Praying from the heart is 108 trillion times more effective than praying from the head.” – Yogi Bhajan

3. The Heart Has its Own Electromagnetic Field

Heart cells are unique in that they produce strong and measurable electromagnetic signals extending as far as twelve to fifteen feet from the body in the shape of a torus. The electromagnetic field of the earth, the solar system, and the galaxy has the same toroidal shape. The quality of our thoughts and feelings affect the electromagnetic field of the heart which in turn affects all the people around us.

We are all connected to one another through these electromagnetic fields and to that of the earth’s electromagnetic field. This is why when we see harm done to another we can feel it – because in truth,  it is also being done to us.

One of the 5 Sutras for the Aquarian Age is Recognize the Other Person is You.

4. Heart Cells Naturally Beat in Unison

Science has discovered that if the cells of the heart are removed and separated they will beat at their own unique rhythm. When these cells are brought together they will naturally synchronize and start beating in unison.

This is why when you listen to someone speaking from the heart you feel included in the conversation. No matter how large the group, it feels as though that person is speaking directly to you. The heart is beyond duality and conflict – it is the perfect balance point where the upper and lower chakras meet. The heart does not judge others as higher or lower- it knows we are all brothers and sisters on this planet.

When you experience conflict with someone this is an opportunity to bring compassion to the situation. Go into your heart and see and feel things from their point of view. If this is challenging,  pray to the Infinite to see this person as God sees them. Relate to their light not their darkness (ego).

5. The Heart Responds to Laughter

Science has discovered that a hearty laugh causes the lining of our blood vessel walls (called endothelium) to relax, increasing blood flow for up to 45 minutes afterwards. Damage to the endothelium can lead to the narrowing of blood vessels and eventually cardiovascular diseases.

Laughter brings comfort to the heart. When you embrace your Divine Nature you can’t help but laugh at the silliness of the mind/ego and how perfect the world is – how perfect we all are.

What is this precious love and laughter budding in our hearts? It is the glorious sound of a soul waking up! – Hafiz

Blessed is he who makes his companions laugh.  – The Koran

Make time to laugh for no reason – watch funny movies – hang out with people who make you laugh.

If you need some real ressurection paddles for your heart – Practice this Meditation for a Broken Heart for 40 days. It works with the heart meridian and will bring energy and prana to this area.

Kundalini Meditation for Solar Flares

“Sun flares-when they go backwards-are safe, but when they are pushed toward the Earth, it’s like a bombardment which the Earth has to withstand.”
“It is not a mystery, it’s not imagination-it will come upon us soon, the flare of the sun is going to disturb the magnetic field of the Earth. You will find your hair starting to react differently” – Yogi Bhajan (master of Kundalini Yoga)
