“Your very own soul is your soul mate”- Yogi Bhajan (master of Kundalini Yoga)
In the Aquarian Age, we are being called to live by our Soul not our ego or mind. The Soul Body is your very own best friend, your highest self, your inner light – your soul mate. The soul is the source of life and is already inside you waiting to be discovered in this lifetime. The Soul is your ‘essence’ – your true identity.
5 ways to Nurture your Soul Body:
1. Listen to the Impulses of Your Soul
The soul longs only to be with the Infinite, G.O.D. the totality of the Universe. The soul body is communicating this longing to you all the time, however, the MIND interprets these impulses and gives you alternatives such as compulsive spending, eating, drugs, alcohol, sex etc. When you feel these impulses choose to do positive activities such as gardening, listening or playing music, writing, meditation, being with your pet – anything that nurtures and satisfies this longing.
2. Live From Your Heart
A simple exercise is to bring your awareness to your heart when you are about to speak to someone. Feel them first and then communicate. You will see your exchanges become more meaningful for you and the other person. With each exchange, you will feel your soul body blossom inside you. It is only when you have a loving relationship with yourself that you can truly love others.
3. Make a Long Standing Date with Your Soul
Every morning preferably before sunrise – sit in silence with yourself – breathe long and deep. This time of the morning is when the angle of the sun to the earth is very good for meditation. Channels to the Divine are at their clearest and there is an abundance of prana (life force of the Universe). Deeply listen to your inner guidance for the day. Make this relationship with your soul a priority.
“The difference between a friend and your soul is that a friend may or may not deny you; but the soul shall never deny you when you ask it for help. “ – Yogi Bhajan
4. Raise Your Kundalini Energy
Raising your Kundalini is the fastest way to awaken your Soul. Cultivate a regular practice Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
In the castle of Brahman, our own body, there is a small shrine in the form of a lotus flower, and within can be found a small space. We should find who dwells in this little space within the heart, and we should want to know him. – Chandogya Upanishad
Our sun travels through the galaxy in an orbit that is 26,000 years long. On Dec 21, 2012, we will reach the end of one of these great cycles. For thousands of years the laws of matter have dominated Spirit and now in this new age, Spiritual laws will rule matter. Many of the ancient traditions tell us that we must live from our hearts to make this mass shift of consciousness – our very survival depends on it.
So what does that mean? And more importantly, how do we do it?
Firstly, it is important to understand the nature of the heart. Modern science is finally catching up to what sages and mystics have been telling us all along about the importance of the heart to our Spiritual Evolution.
Here are 5 Things to Know About the Heart:
1. Your Heart Beats in Sync with Mother Earth
The Earth has a heartbeat (resonant frequency) called the Schumann Resonance which has been 7.8 cycles for thousands of years, but has been rising since 1980. (It is at about 12 cycles at present and increasing each year). Planet Earth is our mother and our heart beat must synch with hers. When we are not in sync, we feel fearful, insecure and anxious that there is not enough time in the day. To counteract these effects, make time to be with your Mother: go out in nature, breathe fresh air, look at the sky. As you intentionally send the frequency of Love from your heart to the center of the Earth, you will feel her Love return back to you.
2. The Heart has its Own Brain
Science has discovered that 60-65 percent of the heart is made up of neurons that connect directly to the limbic system. What we think of as ‘the brain’ is not just in the head – but also in the heart. These neurons have a direct connection with the right hemisphere of the brain and is responsible for dreaming, intuition, and creativity. The ancients tell us that we used to create our world with our hearts. When you visualize or pray, bring your awareness to your heart
“ Whenever you pray with the head, it takes a long time before you see the desired goal. Whenever you sing or pray from the heart, it will be timeless, spaceless and absolutely effective. Praying from the heart is 108 trillion times more effective than praying from the head.” – Yogi Bhajan
3. The Heart Has its Own Electromagnetic Field
Heart cells are unique in that they produce strong and measurable electromagnetic signals extending as far as twelve to fifteen feet from the body in the shape of a torus. The electromagnetic field of the earth, the solar system, and the galaxy has the same toroidal shape. The quality of our thoughts and feelings affect the electromagnetic field of the heart which in turn affects all the people around us.
We are all connected to one another through these electromagnetic fields and to that of the earth’s electromagnetic field. This is why when we see harm done to another we can feel it – because in truth, it is also being done to us.
Science has discovered that if the cells of the heart are removed and separated they will beat at their own unique rhythm. When these cells are brought together they will naturally synchronize and start beating in unison.
This is why when you listen to someone speaking from the heart you feel included in the conversation. No matter how large the group, it feels as though that person is speaking directly to you. The heart is beyond duality and conflict – it is the perfect balance point where the upper and lower chakras meet. The heart does not judge others as higher or lower- it knows we are all brothers and sisters on this planet.
When you experience conflict with someone this is an opportunity to bring compassion to the situation. Go into your heart and see and feel things from their point of view. If this is challenging, pray to the Infinite to see this person as God sees them. Relate to their light not their darkness (ego).
5. The Heart Responds to Laughter
Science has discovered that a hearty laugh causes the lining of our blood vessel walls (called endothelium) to relax, increasing blood flow for up to 45 minutes afterwards. Damage to the endothelium can lead to the narrowing of blood vessels and eventually cardiovascular diseases.
Laughter brings comfort to the heart. When you embrace your Divine Nature you can’t help but laugh at the silliness of the mind/ego and how perfect the world is – how perfect we all are.
What is this precious love and laughter budding in our hearts? It is the glorious sound of a soul waking up! – Hafiz
Blessed is he who makes his companions laugh. – The Koran
Make time to laugh for no reason – watch funny movies – hang out with people who make you laugh.

“Sun flares-when they go backwards-are safe, but when they are pushed toward the Earth, it’s like a bombardment which the Earth has to withstand.”
“It is not a mystery, it’s not imagination-it will come upon us soon, the flare of the sun is going to disturb the magnetic field of the Earth. You will find your hair starting to react differently” – Yogi Bhajan (master of Kundalini Yoga)
Here is a Full 11 Min Kundalini Yoga Meditation for offsetting the effects of the Solar Flares:
Yogi Bhajan had a clear understanding of what would happen as we entered the Aquarian Age and he warned us that solar storm activity would increase significantly and affect the magnetic field of the Earth.
In the past few years, even mainstream media has been reporting massive solar flares unlike any we have ever seen. These solar flares are directly connected to the Earth Changes we are experiencing and play a big role in our quickening - our accelerated evolution as a humanity.
The ancients teach that we are connected to the totality of the Universe and so the flares on the surface of the Sun too affect us.
You may be feeling:
- emotional outbursts – fear, sadness, grief anger, or anxiety – sometimes for no reason
- temperature fluctuations – sweating then chills
- disrupted sleep, disturbing dreams
- extreme fatigue and/or manic amount of energy
- big aha moments of awareness
- weird body phenomena – aches and pains, buzzing in the ears , seeing geometric shapes out of the corner of your eyes
Most importantly, the solar flares affect the emotions. With these surges of energy and information coming from the sun, it is increasingly difficult for people to control the emotions by ‘talking ourselves out of it’ and putting on the ‘I’m just FINE face” to the world. Managing the emotions is now something we must be aware of every day – especially anger. Our old tricks to avoid or suppress our anger will no longer work like – too much sugar, drugs, alcohol –or keeping mentally distracted and gorging on information on facebook, twitter, internet etc. Now we must feel the anger and consciously use if for fuel for transformation.
There is a misconception that the spiritual path is all supposed to be rainbows and unicorns. Don’t make yourself wrong for feeling anger. The Aquarian Age is calling us to be real and authentic – if you are feeling angry – be real – feel it all the way through. Emotion is simply energy in motion. How we channel and direct these energies is what makes us conscious spiritual beings.
All over the world, people are waking up from the bad dream of the Kal Yug (dark age) and seeing the Truth. Part of this waking process is expressing anger at our past habit of giving our power over to others. You can see this in our mass distrust of government, military, religion, banks and corporations.
The 3rd Chakra is ruled by the fire tattva and gives us our sense of self – our self value – our dignity as a Human Being. It takes a potent fuel-like anger (fire) for real transformation to happen. Anger is not a place to live, but a stage to pass through on the way to dignity and peace.
Suppressed anger manifests as apathy, despair and depression. Are you the person who ‘bites your tongue’– remaining quiet to not rock the boat ? Are you a human doormat – people consistently take advantage of your kind nature? Then you need to express – even it is only to yourself through writing it down.
When you feel anger surging inside you, it is poking you to speak and to stand up for yourself – especially to the people in your life who you have been giving your power away to. Do you say and do things to get approval from others? Who are the people you are afraid of speaking the truth to? These people are angels in disguise waiting for you to stand up for yourself – assert your dignity and then their soul contract is complete. These people often disappear from your life or the relationship dramatically transforms into something new.
If you really want to save time – go to the very root of the problem and stand up to the ultimate bully – your own Mind. Stand up to inherited beliefs that are not your own. Stand up to the limited stories your mind and ego tell you about yourself. We are born to be the master of our minds. And yet, we live and act like a King that has become terrified of his servant.
The Age of Aquarius is calling us to wake up and live in Truth. Claim the truth of your Beingness and dignity and nobility will naturally emerge through you.
As Yogi Bhajan says, “As soon as you value yourself – the whole world values you!”.
In the Aquarian Age, we are realizing and living the Truth that we are Infinite Spirits in Human Form. However, it is inevitable that there is a beginning and and ending to our Physical Existence here on Earth. Our human life can pass by in the blink of an eye. This is an opportunity for the living to learn from others’ experience.

What are the Top 5 Regrets of the Dying?
1. I wish I’d had the Courage to Live a Life True to Myself, not the Life Others Expected of Me
This was the most common regret of all. When people realise that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams had gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard
They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship.
3. I wish I had the Courage to Express my feelings.
Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.
4. I Wish I had Stayed in Touch with my Friends.
Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.
5. I Wish that I had Allowed Myself be Happier
This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overshadowed their fear of change - pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed for true happiness.
2012 marks the end of a 26,000 year astrological period as recognized by many of the ancient wisdom traditions. It has been prophesied that our world will NOT end it will be spiritually transformed.
We have seen many changes in 2011 on both the global and personal fronts. Civil uprising in the middle east and now in North America with the Occupy Movements. Earthquakes and other earth changes and increased solar activity. Some keywords for this coming time are enlightenment, truth, hope, peace, awakening, awareness, intuition and love.
A lot of people ask, “How can I Prepare for 2012?
You will need all of your Energy here in the Present Moment to manage the vast changes coming in this NEW AGE. As humans our energy can get locked in the past – feeding old stories, memories and false beliefs about ourself with our attention.
One thing you can do is to Let Go of anything that is no longer serving your highest potential anything that is no longer true for you. AND only YOU know what you need to let go of.
5 Ways to Prepare for 2012
1. Reflect on your own Personal Changes in 2011
This year you may have experienced a new career, a new baby, death of a loved one, relocated to a new home, divorced or separated, suffered a health crisis, had money issues, a legal dispute, a New ____?
Take time to honor all of these experiences, people and challenges that have brought you to the person you are in this very moment. Are there any grudges or resentments that you are holding on to? Writing a list or letters of forgiveness will help release the past from your psyche.
2. Gratitude For the Angels in Disguise
Bring gratitude to those people who brought the most upset into your life – your so-called ‘enemies’. Our enemies can be our medicine. These problem people are often angels in disguise. It is our enemies that force us to change and grow, not our friends. Bring gratitude to all the challenges you faced in 2011. These experiences are gifts from the Universe that are making you stronger and removing anything that is not in Truth for you. Write letters of gratitude to these angels.
3. Turn ‘Fix Yourself’ into ‘Accept Yourself’ – You are Perfect
Most New Year’s resolutions come from thoughts that we are broken and need to be fixed. Instead of focusing on your flaws – focus on your strengths. Learn to accept the parts of yourself you don’t like – find the gift in these qualities. Real change comes from the necessary first step of acceptance of all parts of the self. In the Aquarian Age you must be YOU – embrace your uniqueness this year.
4. Flow with Life instead of Fighting Life
Massive change is here all around us and it is only speeding yo. Nothing is wrong with you or with the world – it is just changing. Consciousness is expanding. Learn to embrace change. For example, if you lose your job – don’t fight it – or hold on to the old. Let go – the Universe doesn’t like a vacuum – it means that something wonderful is coming your way.
